Be The Person You Needed When You Were Younger 🕯️

The Realization: "I found myself feeling a little envious while advising these kids. I kept thinking, 'I hope someone had told me this when I was their age.' But then I realized: I cannot change my past, but I can change their future."

1. The Envy of the Uninformed Child

To be honest, talking to these kids made me feel a pinch of envy. I looked at them and wished that when I was a kid, someone—anybody—had stood beside me and explained the importance of eating healthy food.

I wish someone had warned me:

  • "Don't eat that junk."
  • "That isn't real food."
  • "Here is why you need to protect your body."

But nobody did. I had to learn the hard way, through mistakes and consequences. I spent years praying for someone to tell me the truth.

2. The Blessing of Wisdom

But dwelling on "what if" is a trap. Today, I am blessed. I finally have the wisdom of being conscious about what I put in my body. I know the difference between "Real Food" and "Fake Food."

I realized that I don't need to be bitter about the guidance I never received. Instead, I should be grateful for the wisdom I now possess.

3. Redeeming the Kid Within

This is my redemption. Every time I remind a kid today to avoid dangerous "fake food," I am not just helping them, I am redeeming the kid within me.

  • I am becoming the adviser I never had.
  • I am becoming the reminder I always needed.

Conclusion: Becoming the Hope

I need to stop sticking to the thought, "I hope someone did this for me." That wish belongs to the past.

My mission now is to simply help people avoid the trap. To be their hope. To be the person I wished for.

I didn't have a guide back then, so I will be the guide right now.
